Helga Grunerud Since Helga started with the Hispanic Contractors of Colorado (HCC) in 2000, membership has more than tripled. The association is a key advocate for Small/ Minority/ Woman-Owned companies in the construction industry. To that end, Helga is involved with a variety of committees that interface with public entities to develop programs geared towards diverse companies. To make these companies more competitive, HCC has developed eight workshops for small contractors with funding from the TREX; offers OSHA classes in Spanish; and has a weekly Spanish language radio show, Construyedo Tu Future, that discusses a wide range of topics -- from certifying and doing business with public entities to bonding and insurance. |
